Where the light enters by Sara Donati

Where the light enters by Sara Donati, is a spellbinding journey of adversity, mystery and love. This is a family of physicians and their husbands and adopted family members. This is the first book I've ever read by Sara Donati and didn't realize that it was sort of a continuation of The Gilded Hour which I am now looking forward to reading. I would recommend this book to anyone. Especially those who value people who strive through adversity and a little bit of mystery. Sara Donati is an amazing writer who thinks of all the angles. I love it. Thank you, Sara!

This book is absolutely astounding!!! I cannot tell you how much I love this book. I think this book should go right to the white house and everyone should read it! Especially this day in age, when so many people are focused on the "immigrants" or "los migrantes" causing trouble. I think you'll find that most of the people who come here from other countries are running from people who are the problem, not the other way around. People that come here to the United states, want to be free, and be able to work and not live in fear on a daily basis. Perhaps, if people would read this and see what people from other countries are running from and what they have gone through (yes, I know this is fiction) they might take another look at their walls, and laws and try to help these people become U.S citizens. I think this book should be taught in schools and even made into a movie for those who don't read and enjoy movies more. This is a classic, and I think it will really resonate with many people!

I have been fortunate to receive an ARC of "A Good Neighborhood" by Therese Anne Fowler. Sadly, this book can be paralleled with today's news. Fortunately, it will open the lines of communication between those who read it and their families, friends, and possibly even people who you've never met. It's a book that should be taught in schools. It should be taught because we are still living in a unequal society where people are still being judged for the color of their skin and many other reasons. I feel this book will help people to be kinder, at least I hope it will. It would be a great book club read as well. If you want a fantastic read that will keep you thinking about it long after you've finished it, this is the book for you! It's an eye opener. It shows you that people are not always what they seem and even though you try to do the right thing, it doesn't always matter. Please read this book and when you're finished pass it on. In my humble opinion, it will be a classic.

Things you save in a fire by Katherine Center

I received an ARC of this fantastic book via a Goodreads raffle. At first, as I started reading it, I was worried it was going to be a horribly predictable "hallmark movie". I was extremely wrong, about the third chapter I was unable to put it down. Things were changing all the time. It was tough, heartfelt, kind, painful, and invigorating. I would recommend this book to any one. Not only is it full of grit, but it's full of learning about ourselves and what we are worth and what others are worth. It gives you hope not only for yourself but for the world in general. Makes you believe in the good things in life. Thank you for the opportunity to read this before it's released. I'm starting a book blog and I hope to continue with more wonderful books from Katherine Center. Thank you, Katherine. Your book will make people who read it, believe again.
